NZ LandSAR Search Dogs

NZ LandSAR Search Dogs is a volunteer organisation made up of dedicated dog handlers, trainers, organisers, and supporters who all give their time to aid the lost, missing and injured. They support search and rescue operations across Aotearoa in all outdoor environments, working alongside Police and other search and rescue volunteers to help bring loved ones home. NZ LandSAR Search Dogs has 17 operational teams across Aotearoa. These dog teams are all members of a local LandSAR group and deploy as part of a Police or RCCNZ co-ordinated response. Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust (ADNZT)

Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust (ADNZT) is a registered charitable trust, providing trained dogs to clients with any disability. We are committed to providing a quality service which evaluates each applicant individually and provides assessment, training and follow-up to each individual client’s specific needs. We provide our service to people with a wide range of disabilities. Our mission is to enrich the lives of New Zealanders living with a disability. 72% of our clients are children and young adults under 20 years old, and 50% of our clients live with autism and often multiple disorders. Each of our clients are individuals – we take on New Zealanders with disabilities who have no other organisation to turn to and work collaboratively with other NZ service-dog organisations to refer the rest. Our organisation has government-granted public rights access for all our dogs under the Human Rights Act 1993 and Dog Control Act 1996. We are a member of and internationally accredited by Assistance Dogs International and are incredibly proud of the high standard of dogs we provide for our clients throughout the country. Healthy Pets NZ

Healthy Pets NZ is a registered charity that supports research into improved health and welfare for Kiwi pets. Established by the Companion Animal Branch of the New Zealand Veterinary Association in 1998, we are a team of volunteer veterinary professionals including veterinarians, researchers, veterinary nurses and educators passionate about outcome focussed research that assists companion animals in New Zealand. We raise funds through sponsorships, bequests and donations for outcome focused research that makes a difference to the lives of Kiwi pets and their owners. Over the last 20 years, our research has resulted in new diagnostic and treatment options becoming available to the veterinary profession here. We recently began funding research into the value of pets to society and the human-pet bond. Our research continues to help improve care, results in new and better diagnostic investigation, and explores new treatment options for a range of issues affecting Kiwi pets. Our researchers seek to publish their results and communicate important findings to the public. Join the Healthy Pets NZ team at the 4 Paws Marathon.
